The window card poster was mostly used in store front windows to advertise. These cards were like a minature movie poster. There is a blank space at the top of the card for imprinting the name of the theater and the play dates. These posters were also stapled or nailed to telephone poles and wood fences. Whether they were over-stock at the printers, or excess sent to smal towns that didn't really have that many stores to advertise in, many of these cards survived the test of time.
